 Reflection of  Memrise

     For today's lesson from Multimedia-Assisted Language Learning class, I learned to how to use Memrise to get better understanding of a new, unfamiliar language, Russian. This program provides you with a beginner-level approach to the target language you select by the language you are familiar with. Namely, there will be nothing wrong for one who is a completely novice. As to me, Russian is a difficult language to learn because of its complexity of its shape. However, with this program, I am enabled to learn the target language smoothly without confusion.

  October 13  2020  Jigsaw reading on Line       Today's lesson  from  Multimedia-Assisted Language Learning class, our professor asked us to do j igsaw reading on Line with a partner. So, the story is divided into two parts, A and B. Each of us got 5 mintutes to read our part of the story. After that, we have to make a phone call through Line to give a summary of this story to each other. October 6 2020   Group Discussion on Google Hangouts      Today's lesson  from  Multimedia-Assisted Language Learning class, our professor asked us to create a online discussion group through  Google Hangouts. For the discussion, the topic was " what will be a future classroom like?". It's quite a thought-provoking topic. As a saying goes: "Three heads are better than one". We brainstormed together to look into a same thing with different aspects. What's more, two of four group members are from other departments, which I think it will make this discussion more diversified. Then, w e talked about the environment, facilities, teaching materials, and the role of the teacher in the classroom.                                                                                                                                                       Steven Chen

  September, 29 2020   Practical use of South Park Avata r       Today's lesson  from  Multimedia-Assisted Language Learning class, I learned what is CALL and CMC and its theory. Later, I use  South Park Avata r as a real example of CALL. For example, we can use its function to create a unique character. Furthermore, you can adjust its face, skin, outfit, and even voice. With those, we can let students learn facial expression and so on.  Steven Chen
